In late 2009, Patrick and Roxanne Devaney, former owners of The Sherlock Holmes Pubs (three locations), the Rose & Crown Pub and Devaney's Irish Pub, embarked on a fresh, new endeavor called Moriarty's Bistro | Wine Bar. Slyly positioned next door to The Sherlock Holmes Pubs‚ downtown location, Moriarty's is a promising addition to Edmonton's downtown scene. It is no coincidence that a restaurant named after Sherlock Holmes' archenemy is situated nearby The Sherlock Holmes Pub!
This little bistro is a perfect contradiction to the fast paced pub style of The Sherlock Holmes downtown pub. Moriarty's boasts comfortable white leather booths, a palatable menu, and a world wine list. Since opening the doors in December of 2009, Moriarty's welcomes their guest's input and consistently strives to exceed all expectations.
